How do I get a scholarship for college as a transfer applicant?

Can you answer EV0 DemoN's question about scholarships?:

I live in NY and I want to transfer to the University of Chicago. In short, it's going to cost me a bit. I want to know what do I have to do to get a scholarship in that school or a scholarship in general. I'm Pre-Med and I need a little guidance on which scholarships to choose from and how to go about getting them as well as following up on them…HELP =]

Check out scholarships.com. They list hundreds of scholarships for people in just about any situation. Transfer applicants have a notoriously rough time getting aid from their new schools, so if you can find external aid, you'll be a step ahead. If all else fails, there are still the traditional government funded programs.
