How can a person obtain scholarships for cosmetology school?

Can you answer Rose's question about scholarships?:

I need either one scholarship or a group of scholarships to cover $13,900. I really want to go to cosmotology school and I have no money. My parents make to much for me to get financial aid and they don't want to help me pay for cosmetology school.

You can apply for financial aide on your own and as long as the school is accredited, you should be able to get a student loan like everyone else. Talk to the school admissions advisor and she should be able to help you with all of your paperwork and go over all of your options. Good luck

It depends where you live, but by Googling I found SMALL scholarships for cosmetology schools in Atlanta, Madison, Iowa,
Missouri, etc.

Where do you live?

$13,900 for cosmetology school? ughhh, if I had a nickel for every person I've seen who defaulted on a cosmetology school loan…
Don't take out a loan, if you can't afford $13,900 go somewhere else. Look for a cheaper alternative like a state funded vocational school or try a local community college…. Really, where this is offered depends greatly on your location.

Just curious, what occupation would your parents help you pay for? You might want to ask them.
