Is it true that Wal-Mart has scholarships?
Answered By Sidney Trellis
Yes, it is true that Wal-Mart is giving away scholarships. This scholarship is called Wal-Mart Competitive Edge Scholarship. One among the receivers of this particular scholarship is William Remington III who is an engineering student of University of Rhode Island. He is receiving $20,000 periodically in his four-year in this scholarship.
For you to be able to be a Wal-Mart scholar, like Remington, you need to maintain a grade not lower than 3.0. That includes your grade from primary and secondary education.
This particular scholarship is given to high school graduates who want to go to college focusing much of their career on industry, manufacturing and technology. This scholarship program started in 1992 and was initiated by Sam Walton. Its purpose is to help and carry out the brightest students of United States to carry on leadership in many important areas.
