What is the difference between a Scholarship and a Grant?
Answered By Sidney Trellis
Scholarship is a type of financial award given to any citizen under college level in recognition to the past and present academic achievement. It can also be awarded to undergraduates and are planning to undergo professional education. It is also called fellowship. The grant is different, although they are similar because both can be financial assistance. Grants are given by government as well as some private sector not only for educational expenses but for housing, starting a small business and agricultural purposes. In order to meet a grant, one must pass the standards and qualifications of the grantor. Almost anyone can apply for it but only few are given the privilege of receiving grants. It is also called grant-in-aid
