What is a Rhodes Scholar?

Answered By Sidney Trellis

After the death of Cecil John Rhodes, the Rhodes scholarship program started to operate. In 1902, they scholarship programs have awarded the applicants annually initiated by the Rhodes trust based in Oxford. Their qualification is according to the academic performances, qualities as well as the characters. They are giving away free education in the University of Oxford in England for two years or maybe three years in some cases.

In 1902, when Rhodes died, his fortune was donated to those who are capable of finishing college but do not have much money to finance their college education. The scholarship is awarded to the applicants who qualified because of the impressive intellectual capacity, outstanding character and energetic physical ability.
