Maggie is a sweet woman who loves children especially young children. The glow on her face when she is around children tells you all you need to know about this sweet lady. Maggie worked in day care centers herself for many years and that was when she came up with the idea that she wanted to start her own day care. She had her own creative ideas on how she thought a day care should run and most of this knowledge she attained came from children. Maggie observed the children and watched them very closely taking note about the things they liked or disliked. She had built up her own knowledge base on children. The problem was money. Working in a day care does not pay well and Maggie hadnt had the opportunity save much money. Thats when we decided to look into government grants. We started our research by going to this government grants site http://www.grants.gov/ where we searched through all the different grant opportunities. And let me tell you that there are a number of different types of government grant opportunities available. There are personal grants to help purchase a house, home repairs, academic purposes, legal services, medical expenses etc. Then there are the business grants to open up a new business, expanding an existing business, financing of equipment and even grants to help women start their own business. There are also numerous grants available for educational purposes. Anyhow, I guess you can already guess what grant my sister Maggie opted for. She went through the process and paper work to submit an application to get her grant but I have to tell you right now that it takes a lot of effort and time to get through the bureaucracy of the different government agencies and you have to be bound and determined. I can say one thing about my sister Maggie and that she is a very persistent lady. And that is why today she runs her very own day care center. Every year people receive free grants for a number of different reasons and needs.
