What exactly does the above state mean, well if your a high school athlete trying to get a college scholarship, then these are the words you should live by until you get recruited. Exposure is the key to getting any type of athletic scholarship, because if no-one knows that you are interested or shopping your skills to colleges, then the majority of the time they will pass you by.

There have been thousands of great athletes who have never been discovered because they failed to do one thing, Get Exposure for their skills. They spent so much time developing their skills yet failed to get the exposure needed to go to the next level; so dont let this happen to you!

There are a variety of ways to gain exposure including just contacting the colleges that you are interested in attending, the trick is to present you academic and athletic achievements in a format that they will notice. The Internet provides a great source for high school students to gain exposure for their athletic abilities. But, just setting up a website with you stats and highlight tapes will get lost in the millions of websites coming online everyday, the best strategy is to promote your talents on a site that college coaches visit.

These sites are called recruiting websites, and their main focus is to showcase new talent for college coaches and recruiters. This is accomplished by providing a location that coaches and recruiters visit on a regular basis to get the scoop on new talent. The secret to catching their attention is to be profiled on a site that provides them with the information they need to make an informed decision about a potential recruit right away.

The main goal of a recruiting site is to get the potential recruits profile in front of recruiters, but it is also imperative that they inform the recruit about the rules and procedures to gaining a college scholarship. One site that provides online exposure for high school student athletes, and furnishes informative information is Online Scouting Network, this website located at http://www.onlinescoutingnetwork.com is an excellent source for college coaches and recruiters to find new talent for their programs.
